If your employer allows you to pick up open shifts, you’ll be able to view and request them directly through your account. This guide will walk you through the process of finding available open shifts and submitting a request to pick one up.
Log into your Elevated account and navigate to: Main Menu (☰) > My Info tab > My Schedule icon > Schedule > Show Open Shifts button
At that point, all Open Shifts will be indicated on the calendar on the left by dots along the bottom of the date that an Open Shift is present. There will also be a "Request open shift" icon available for selection on any day there is a shift available to pick up.
Once the "Request open shift" icon is selected, a dialog box will appear and prompt you to select a shift. Select the shift you would like to request, then choose "Submit".
Once you submit your request to pick up a shift, your manager will be notified and will have the option to approve or deny your request.
If the shift is approved, you'll receive a notification confirming the change, and the shift will be added to your schedule. From that point on, you’ll be responsible for working the shift.
Important Notes:
If your employer does not permit open shifts, this process will not apply.
If your employer has set limits on weekly hours, you may not see open shifts if your current hours already meet the maximum. In such cases, you'll need to request the open shift directly from your manager outside the system.
