IRS Address Change

IRS Address Change

When referencing Legal Address, we typically are referring to the address the IRS has on file for the business. Due to the IRS requirements, all correspondents to the IRS for payment and returns MUST match exactly as the government has the data on file or the information will be rejected. With that being said, if an address is outdated but on file with the IRS, the IRS address must be used in the Green Leaf system. If you'd like to update the address in Green Leaf to appear on quarterly returns and W2s, please first submit an Address Change to the IRS by visiting, https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8822-b or by completing the attached form and sending it to the IRS. As soon as the IRS has made the change, they will email you a copy of the change. Please forward the copy of the Address Change to your Green Leaf representative. At that point, we can update the data on file.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
