In order to track your time, you'd be clocking in and out in the fashion your employer prefers (mobile app, web, or physical clock). In this video, we cover the web version of the clock as well as the timesheet you'd be able to review. Either way, you clock in and out, and the timesheet processes will be the same in order to ensure you monitor your punches, cost centers, and approve your time (if applicable).
To clock in or out, simply choose the "Clock In" or "Clock Out" option. When you clock in or out for any period of time, the system will identify in the background if you are out for the day, out for a meal, or out for a break depending on the length of time your punches are spread apart from one another. There may be other rules enabled in the background depending on the state rules your employer follows. The other option you may see on the clock is the option to "Change Cost Center". This option is configured per company and would only be active if this is a requirement for your employer. If you have the option to "Change Cost Center" be sure to consult with your employer when you should use the different cost centers. You will be able to toggle between cost centers without punching in or out, by simply choosing "Change Cost Center" and choosing an option from the drop-down.
In order to view your timesheet, choose the "My Clock" icon on the clock tile as seen above OR hover over the "My Timekeeping" widget on your dashboard, to then choose "My Current Timesheet" as seen below. Both options take you to the timesheet.
Once you're in the timesheet, you can see your punches in and out. Any days that do not have time punched, will not be expanded. If you see any missing punches or changes needed, you'd choose the "Change Request" button in the upper right of the screen to allow you to request the change needed. This could be a change for in, out, change cost center, missed punch, or in some cases, even to modify a time off request. Depending on your employer, you may see different options. To request a change, choose the type of change you are requesting from the drop-down. Then choose the date that this change applies to.
For a change that is changing a current punch, you will only see the options of days to choose that have actual days being punched. If you are adding a punch altogether, you'd choose the option to "Add Punch Out" or "Add Punch In". Be sure to fill out the type, date, time, and add a comment. Once you submit, your manager will receive a notification to approve or reject. If approved, you will see the updates on your timesheet.
