Worker Comp Claims

This article provides a comprehensive guide for entering and tracking workers' compensation claims. The system’s features allow for effective management of both open and closed claims.

Please note that the following instructions outline all required fields to ensure accurate generation of OSHA forms. Each step specifies which OSHA form the data will populate. The task on How to populate OSHA forms is at the end of this article. 


How to add a new Workers' Comp Claim

Go to Team>HR>HR Maintenance>Workers Comp>Add New (upper right corner)




Follow the instructions below for each tab within the profile

MAIN TAB
  1. Injury Date: Pulls into OSHA 300 from
  2. Injury Time: Pulls into OSHA 301
  3. Work Day Begins: Pulls into OSHA 301
  4. Date Reported: Only for record keeping
  5. Client Date: Use same date as date reported. 
  6. Pre-Injury Activity: Pulls into OSHA 301
  7. Accident Info: Pulls into OSHA 301
  8. Direct Cause Of Harm: Only for record keeping
  9. Employee info section will pull from employee profile
  10. Carrier info: This is all the info that is already in the system, just need to pull in. 




INJURY TAB
  1. Cause: Pulls into OSHA 301
  2. Body Part: Pulls into OSHA 301
  3. Nature: Pulls into 301
  4. Date of Death: Add only if applies. Pulls into OSHA 300 and 300A
  5. Hospitalized Overnight As Inpatient: Check mark this box if applies. Pull into OSHA 301. 
  6. Treated In An ER: Check mark this box if applies Pull into OSHA 301. 
  7. Provider and Facilities are pulled into OSHA 301 




INCIDENT TAB
  1. Address: This is the address where the accident occurred. 
  2. Specific Location: specific location of injury (ex: kitchen). Pulls into OSHA 300
  3. Additional Information: Add all that apply
  4. Safety/OSHA: 
  5. Make sure you check the box "OSHA Reportable" or it will not pull into the OSHA forms. 
  6. OSHA Type: Pulls into OSHA 300 and 300A.
  7. Detailed Description: pulls into OSHA 300 and 300A. 
  8. Return to work date: Add when employee returns to work. This will track how many days away from 
  9. Attorney and Witnesses: Not required, used for tracking purposes only. 


WORK INFO TAB
  1. Client info, Occupational Data, Hours and earning, return to work are not requited, used only for tracking purposes


CLAIM HANDLING TAB
  1. Light Duty start date and return date MUST be entered to track modification on OSHA 300 and 300A
  2. Start losing time date: Is the first day an employee missed work. Pulls into OSHA 300 and 300A
  3. Return to Work Date: 
  4. Subrogated Parties and Disputed are not required, for record keeping only


 



POPULATE OSHA 300, 300A and 301 Forms


Go to Teams>HR>Forms>Government Forms>Select appropriate form



Click "add" in the upper right corner


Add the correct year
Select Populate the upper right corner to pull in all the info from claims



When are ready to finalize the report click "Finalize" in the upper right corner
