IP Address (referred to as "Access Profile") Maintenance for Web Application and Web Clock Users
If your company has chosen to use IP restrictions for clocking in and out from either the Web Application or Web Clock options, Green Leaf will set up the initially provided IP Addresses, then the Company Admin will be able to maintain any future IP Address changes from there.
In order to edit the IP Addresses on file, navigate to the Hamburger Menu > Settings > Profiles and Policies > Access Profile.
Note: if this is not an option please verify you have the proper security profile. If the profile is Company Admin, please reach out to your Implementation Specialist to request access to "Edit the Access Profile". If you are not a decision maker on the account you must have the proper contact reach out to the Green Leaf representative to add access.
Once on the Profiles, locate the Profile with your Company Name listed. Click the pencil.
Within the profile, a list of IP Addresses will be present. If you click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper with a magnifying glass, you will be able to see the Comment to Identify the IP Address.
To remove IP Addresses that are no longer applicable, please click the "X" to delete.
To add a new IP Address, click the "Add Allowed IP" button in the upper right. Then enter the IPv4 information, when prompted to put a comment enter any type of description to help identify the IP Address location. Then hit OKAY.
Now that that the IP Addresses have been maintained, you can ensure the Profile is tied to the Timesheet Profile intended by navigating to the Hamburger Menu > Settings > Profiles and Policies > Timesheet Profile.
Within the profile, the "Access Profile" will be present on the "Web Punch Access Profile" drop down. You will not be able to edit the profile but can use this to ensure the IP Address Access Profile being updated is correctly assigned.
Testing:
If you'd like to test the IP Address, simply update an employee's Timesheet Profile to the profile with the IP Address you'd like to test. Have them attempt to punch in/out. If they receive an error related to "access" then the IP Address is not on file. The user will be shown their IP Address upon punch for further IP Address corrections if needed.
