Release Notes (April 2025)

Release Notes (April 2025)

Summary

This document will outline the items that will be released in the next system update. The next system release is scheduled for April 3rd, 2025. If you have any questions regarding the notes listed below, please contact your designated Green Leaf representative(s).

General

Employee Documents

Mass Upload: Option & Dialog

You can upload multiple Employee Documents to the application via the Mass Upload action under HR > HR Maintenance > Employee Documents.

Upon selecting the Mass Upload action under the triple dot ellipses, the dialog now includes the following functionality:

  • The ability to upload a zip file containing documents and CSV mapping. An Upload Zip File button triggers the upload process once a file is attached. This is grayed out until you have selected a zip file.

Payroll

Payroll Setup

Updated Direct Deposit Active To Date

The Direct Deposit Active To Date is now set to 12/31/2099 when left blank. A warning displays if a user tries to update this date to a value beyond 12/31/2099.

Payroll Bug Fixes

Direct Deposit: Mobile app crashed when updating Direct Deposit

When a client had an HR Action for Direct Deposit updates, and employees tried to edit the end date of an existing direct deposit account on an iOS device, the browser sometimes crashed. This has been fixed, and in this situation, browsers on iOS devices will no longer crash, as expected.

Payroll Reports: Difficulty Retrieving Data error message generated

When users tried to add an HR Custom Field column to the Open Payroll Alerts report, they received a "Difficulty Retrieving Data" error message. This has been fixed, and users can now add HR Custom Field columns to the Open Payroll Alerts report without error.

Taxes

Delaware Paid Leave: Updated with New Parameters

Delaware Paid Leave is a new tax for 2025. The total tax rate for the employer is 0.8%. The wage base matches the Social Security wage base ($176,100 for 2025).

While the total tax amount is ultimately the employer's responsibility, the employer may require the employee to contribute up to 50% of the total amount due. By default, the system will assume that the employer is contributing the entire 0.8%.

Info
Tip: When calculating Delaware Paid Leave, it is highly recommended that you always set up both the employee and employer portions of this tax, even if one is expected to calculate a $0 amount.

Scheduling

Advanced Scheduling

Add Time Off

After adding a time off from the schedule, and once it has been posted, selecting the time off now contains two links to Modify and Delete. Modify changes the time off and the saved change is reflected on the schedule and timesheet, and Delete removes it from both locations.

When adding a new time off in the schedule, the list of time offs was limited to the time offs available to the employee for request, not the manager. Since there may be a difference in what may be posted by a manager, the list of time offs now reflects those of a manager. The options are the same ones identified in the Time Off Settings of the Timesheet Profile.

When adding a new time off from the schedule, the default From and To date fields were blank, even though the transaction was initiated from a choice made on a specific calendar date. With this release, both dates pre-fill with the date selected on the calendar.

Open Shift Panel

With this enhancement, a new Open Shifts panel is available for display and use above the Employee Shifts schedule grid. Grid display can be controlled by user with the expand or collapse option. Shifts within this panel can be dragged to employees for assignment or can be copied then pasted as expected.

At the top of the Advanced Scheduling page, a toggle for 'Try the new look and feel' is available to move the open shift panel from the left panel to the top of the page. With the toggle being enabled, the following three items are also available.

Delete Open Shift

Managers have needed a way to quickly delete all open shifts from the schedule. Therefore, with the new look toggle enabled, a new Delete All Open Shifts option is available in the new open shift's ellipse menu. The option deletes the open shifts that are visible and filtered on the screen. On the Advanced Scheduling month view, the option allows for deleting all shifts on a schedule.

Group by Cost Center

With the new look toggle enabled, the option to 'Group By: Cost Center' has been moved to the Settings panel. If enabled, both the Open Shifts and Employee Schedules grid are grouped the same.

Multiple Copy and Paste Shifts

With the new look toggle enabled, selecting multiple open shifts now allows you to copy them and pate them onto the schedule. A Paste icon displays once the shifts are selected and appears where the first open shift in the sequence can be pasted. For instance, copying three shifts on consecutive days pastes them on consecutive days starting from where the paste icon is pressed.

Modify Employee Schedules

The Modify Employee Schedules page was recently updated to allow for mass updates to future employee schedules. With this enhancement, the date range selection for the profile within the Modify Employee Schedules page has been increased to one year.

Multiple Time Off Days

When adding a time off directly from the schedule, after choosing the time off type, the Request Type field allows for selection of Multiple Days. When chosen, 'From' and 'To' date fields display allowing for entry of multiple dates. Also, when Dynamic Duration is selected, it applies to each day of the specified date range.

HR

Forms

I9 Form: 'Verify social security #' Button Removed From I9 Forms

The social security number verification service is used to verify social security numbers for W-2 reporting, not to determine if an employee has provided an accurate SSN for employment authorization. Per Compliance, the Verify social security # button has been removed from the Form I9 screen to avoid any confusion. (It can still be found on employee record and hire screens.)
