Unemployment Tax ID

Agency Contact Info: Division of Unemployment Insurance (DUI) now has a general e-mail box for employers to submit unemployment tax questions to its Employer Tax Operations Unit. The e-mail address is: DOL_UI_Employer_Tax_Questions@state.de.us. Employers can submit questions about their tax rate, charges to their tax account, etc.

After a new tax ID has been received, please send all documentation showing proof of the tax ID obtained to the Tax Department by submitting a Tax Ticket. Choose "Need to Add Tax Jurisdiction/Obtained Tax ID" from the ticket reason drop down. It's best practice to add new tax ID's before processing payment for employees within the jurisdiction.
